Boost Juice Bar

Boost juice bars have great juices, fruit crushes and smoothies.
However a downside of Boost is that they do not offer a dairy free option for the yoghurt in their smoothies.

Last week I decided I wanted one of their delicious sounding smoothies without the yoghurt to make it dairy free. When I asked the girl for the Soraya's favourite without yoghurt she said: "That's not possible." I said to her: "Why can't you just leave it out? All your drinks are made fresh." Her reaction, which made me and my sister laugh for days to come, was: "Because it's a smoothie..."

When I explained to her that I was vegan and wanted it dairy free so I wanted them to make it like a juice not a smoothie she reluctantly started making it.

Now its my favourite drink, its a super delicious combination of flavours. However, I think it might be even better if they add vegan yoghurt, it is meant as a smoothie after all.

I would recommend Boost Juice Bars highly to everyone, but for us vegans mostly for their juices. I really hope they will add a vegan option for smoothies soon because I'm sure those are all delicious too.

My Vegan Story

When I was little I always told my mom that one day I was going to be a vegetarian. Why? Because animals were cute and eating them was mean. That was my reason. I never wanted to eat animals like rabbit, duck, lamb, sheep, calf, deer etc. In my eyes these were animals that we were not “supposed” to eat, unlike cows, pigs and chickens because I was always told that they were animals meant for consumption. I was not yet able to become a vegetarian yet because I was scared. Scared that people would not understand what I felt/thought. Scared that I would not be able to eat anything (I hated vegetables!). Scared to stand apart from the crowd.

What The Curvy Veganista is all about

Hello and welcome to my blog,
My name is Sabine. I am vegan and I love food. On my blog I want to share my favourite recipes with you. I will share my experiences and tell you all about vegan restaurants that I eat at.
Some facts about me. I am 17 years old, I am from Holland but live in Singapore now. Like most vegans I love animals, I have two cats at home. And I have had almost every pet you can think of. I love traveling and trying new things, especially if it is food related. :P
I hope you enjoy my blog!  :)
